Symington Lodge This is referred to as Symington Lodge. It was built near the parish church to keep an eye out for body snatchers.

This is an excellent picture of some of the thatched cottages. The decorated thatched roofs are of particular interest. This card was sent from one of them, Park Cottage on April 29th 1908.

This is a picture of the Glasgow Yeomanry Camp on the side of Tinto. It was issued by the Y.M.C.A. It is amazing to think that postcards were created so quickly in those days for people to send to their relatives and friends.
