This is an old style cottage plus 19th century extension. These buildings were near the Thankerton Mill. This was sent on 20/7/07 Comment by ADMIN: July 2017:

   

Roberton In the foreground is the school which had up to thirty three pupils. It became a Village Hall after the closure of the school in 1969. Nearby is the back of the post office which survived till 1983.

   

Roberton This is a nice view of old Roberton including the mill and an old thatched cottage. This view dates back to about 1912.

Woodlands, Symington Here is a card of Woodlands in Symington. The building probably dates to the early thirties. The writer of the card says that there are no sign of war except at sea. Date of card is 9/12/39.
